St Mary’s takes Schick Championship

For the first time in their history St Mary’s College took the Girls’ national title. They beat St Peter’s, Cambridge 68-62 in the final. This capped off an amazing unbeaten record for St Mary’s in 2017. Other teams from Wellington also performed well in this intensely competitive championship. Hutt Valley High School came 7th in the Girls’, and in the Boys’ tournament Rongotai College was 8th, and Wellington College 16th. nzherald sport news The Championship was held in Palmerston North and ran from October 2 to 7.
