In their first appearance at the CSW Junior 3×3 Slam, Queen Margaret’s cruised to victory, while Rongotai proved their dominance in this event winning back to back titles.

A total of 27 teams took to the half court for the CSW Junior 3×3 Slam held at Walter Nash on Wednesday 6 November. As always, it was fast paced, action packed and loaded with young talent.

The girls division was competitive across the board with every team being defeated at some point. Sacred Heart and Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Te Rito both topped their pools as TKKM o Te Rito beat eventual champs QMC by 1 in pool play. It was QMC and HVHS that progressed to the final and QMC won comfortably 14-4.

The boys 4 pools were topped by TKKM o Te Rito, Rongotai 2, Wainuiomata HS and Newlands however it was Rongotai 1 who moved through the playoffs to meet Rongotai 2 in an all RC final. Rongotai 1 proved dominant in the final winning 16-4.

It was an all Rongotai College final with Rongotai 1 in blue taking the title
